How it works

  1. Size it up. Most home jobs fit a 4–8 yard skip — the size guide shows what fits in each.
  2. Check the rules. Skip going on the road? You'll need a council permit — usually arranged by the skip firm.
  3. Compare and book. Call two or three firms from your town page, or request quotes and let them ring you.

What a skip costs
